We’ve recently had an unusual spell of hot weather and most people probably still have covers on their garden furniture or they haven’t even taken it out of storage yet. With the beautiful weather it’s definitely time to get out into the garden. Have you taken good care of your garden furniture and is it ready for summer?
If you chose self-storage or properly utilised the last bit of space in your garage, you did the right thing. Continue reading
There are many reasons for storing furniture and it seems most of us, at some point in our lives, run out of space; the spare room turns into a storage area, the garage has become an obstacle course and the garden shed is no longer just for the garden.
This could easily lead to damage and unnecessary repair costs later on but there is a simple solution though: your own self-storage unit.
Here are some common reasons for furniture storage:
- Unused furniture could be in your way
- You may have inherited valuable family heirlooms and have no space at home
- Moving house and you need a safe haven for your furniture

Plants, furniture and garden tools, all need some sort of care or storage if they’re to make it through to next spring in good condition.
If the longer range weather forecasts are to be believed we may well be in for a cold winter, with temperatures forecast to drop below the average for this time of year quite soon. It’s time to get organised and get everything cut back, cleaned up and stored away. Continue reading
Spring is definitely turning into summer! The weather has warmed up and all the garden toys and games are finding their way outside, as well as some things that probably aren’t quite so sturdy.
In an ideal world, kids would play with one or two things at a time and put everything away neatly before moving onto something else. But we live in the real world which means everything is likely to come out, and if you’re lucky a small portion of it may find its way back indoors – eventually. After all, it’s going to be played with again tomorrow, what’s the point of bringing it in? The rain! Unfortunately for us, warmer weather generally brings heavy showers, so you need to make sure you have some easy storage solutions for getting everything put away quickly. Continue reading
